can we take HRA as well as rent deduction for salaried person ??

No....In computation of HRA , rent is included in conditions

for salaried individual, who is getting HRA,. only HRA exemption can be claimed not deduction on rent paid u/s 80GG.
Individual who is not getting any HRA can claim deduction on rent paid u/s 80GG.
but u can claim either of these only, when u live in a rented house means pay rent ...of you are living in your own house, no exemption or deduction can be claimed
