you are eligible for 9 month olny

Hi,

So If Rent received for 9 months is 13000 and Actual HRA received is 60000 and basic salary is 120000 p.a below calculation is correct or not?

  1. HRA  = (60000*9/12) = 45000
  2. Rent Paid = (117000 - 9000) = 108000
  3. 40 % of basic Salary = (40 %(120000*9/12)) = 36000

So 36000 is Exempt right?
