Let me tell you my way of studying Audit. This technique is also helpful for other theory papers.

Strategy to prepare Audit

QUICK READING APPROACH

First give ICAI audit study a quick reading to understand the depth and figure out the efforts and time required for final preparation. You would appreciate that through this quick reading you would be able to figure out where extra efforts are required in audit subject and plan accordingly.

Make necessary notes or put suggestions or mark strategy for yourself on the study book during first reading. This task helps you to deal with audit subject later on during final preparation. Pre-condition for this first study is --- go ahead for quick study with a completely relax and chilled mind. Your main purpose behind this quick study is observation and formation of a plan to deal with audit.

During first study ride prepare a plan for final preparation. Also use scanner for making the plan. Later on use any good notes to prepare. Remember at this moment you have everything in your mind like what is imp along with basic idea of the topic and chapter.

SPECIAL ATTENTION TO SA AND AS

Also give special attention to SA and AS. Only good knowledge of SA and AS is not enough but you must understand the technique to apply SA and AS in audit practical problems. For this purpose refer ICAI suggested answers and observe the application of SA and AS to the problem. Another benefit of this task is—it also helps you to understand SA and AS in a much better way.

The suggestion above is based on my personal understanding and may easily be rejected or accepted by you. In any case please share your feedback.

All the Best and Regards

Hi, SA- pick daily 1 standard..max 1 hour. If it is bit big 1 one then 2 days ..an hour each. And theory part. Keep ethics chapt aside . Daily take 2 clauses. Allot time as per ur power. And rest of the chapters..1st see how many topics/questions in each chapter. Prepare 1 time table during audit time..how many topics u shud cover and al. It wil help u to see where am going to stand after a month. Its like present value of future cashflows. Today itself u can check urself whr wl i stand in audit subject after month. Hope u understood dis. Like this prepare 1 gud time table. Divide the big thngs into a smaller ones and allot time. Parallely cover up pm questions.
I dont knw wch buk u r refering..ur selected author buk plus pm is enough. While stdying with quality reading, on topics/numb of questions allott hours(1 hour, half an hour, 15mins etc). I bet u it wl help u lot in last month and day b4 the exam. For example, By dis , in AMA i finish off revision of QT portion juz in 6 hours
I shown route in depth. . . .example say 30 questions in some chapter. After reading 10 questions allot time..after reading 1 chapter. In index mention hw many hours u taken..say 4 hours. After revising revising ofcourse time gets reduce to.. say 2 hours. If u see dis ..ur half tense gets reduce. Finaly at end in 1.5 day u wl be in a position to revise entire portion. So like dis I bet u wont feel tense even day b4 the exam.
Finaly concentrate on presentation by seeing questions in pm or suggested answers
