How to show tax details in revised ITR if refund is already credited?

ITR for FY 2020-21 processed and Refund (refund from deducted TDS) credited to bank. But the assessee forgot to show his other sources income and want to file Revise return. Now if he shows his other sources income in revise return obviously he need to pay more tax than previous. Suppose in original Return, Tax Payable 20,000/-, Tax Paid (TDS) 30,000/-, so The refund is 10,000/-. But In revise return Tax Payable 25,000/-, Tax Paid (TDS) 30,000/-, so refund is 5,000/-. Now the question is, as the assessee already got the refund of 10,000/- how can he claim another refund from same TDS amount. Also if he pay Rs. 5,000/- (extra tax amount in revise return) as self assessment tax, his refund amount in revise return will be (5000+5000)= 10,000/-. So, how to show his tax details in Revise ITR?

Quick Summary
If you've received a tax refund for FY 2020-21 but need to file a revised Income Tax Return (ITR) to declare additional income, this guide explains how to handle the tax details. When filing the revised return, you'll calculate the new tax liability and any additional tax due. The system will adjust for the refund already credited, and you'll typically pay the difference, including any self-assessment tax. The tax assessment process will then reconcile the amounts.

PAY THE REMAINING AMOUNT (RS. 5000/- +CESS), & FILE THE RETURN AS CALCULATED BY THE UTILITY.

THE ASSESSMENT WILL TAKE CARE OF THE REFUND PAID AMOUNT.

Another option is to file a revised return with 5000 refund. once the itr is processed, they will generate demand of Rs. 5000 which you can pay and close.
