Namasthe,

My husband demised in the month of march 2013. Up to the assessment years 2011-12 my husband filing the returns of income regularly and claimed the refund also from his civil contracts. I have been registered as legal heir successfully by the Income tax department. While e-filing my husband's return of income the following actions may not be completed.

1. After due registration as legal heir ' MY DECEASED HUSBAND'S  PAN DEACTIVATED'.

2. Due to deactivation of my husband's PAN, I am not able to view form No. 26As of decased husband.

For the above said reasons i am not able to file my husabnd's return of income in the capacity of legal heir.

Hence I request kindly guide me how to view the Form No. 26As of the deceased person, since i was deactivated by the income tax authorites.

Please let me know the process.

with regards,

Mam

I am sorry about your loss....

As for tax credit info, i think now that your husband's PAN is deactivated, either the credit should be linked to your PAN which I think is not yet done in your case, so maybe you need to contact the employer of your husband and ask for form-16, that should be enough to file his return. I could be wrong or i might not have helped you much, sorry if that is the case.

Thanks, and Stay Strong.

Mam,

Either you can take the tax credit from the Form-16 or Form 16A as the case may be from your husband's employer or his clients or kindly contact to your concerned assessing officer and he will provide you all the tax which is credited to the name of your Husband.

Thanks
