During my articleship my principal signed a letter that he will inform ICAI if I undergo any course in future. Later on I applied for the B.com private/correspondent and forgot to submit form 112.
Now after becoming the CA, ICAI is not alloting the Membership no. and asking for penalty of Rs. 11800.
Can I escape this fine in anyway?
No escape.
ICAI clearly stated in Instruction to Form 112 that the Form should be submitted to Institute within 30 days.
In case of delay in filing Form 112 beyond stipulated period (i.e 30 days) request for such Condonation and Condonation Fee has to be paid.
