How to claim refund for TCS if I received back education fee paid to uk university

I paid education Fee Of Rs. 7,00,000/-  for my son who was in process of admission in UK university. But the university rejected his admission and refunded the Fee.

Latter on he got the admission in another university in the UK, But while paying deposit amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- TCS is applicable as remittance amount crossing the limit.

How I can claim TCS refund paid against Rs. 5,00,000/-

Anybody help me out.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to claim a refund for Tax Collected at Source (TCS) when an initial education fee paid to a UK university is refunded. The user paid a significant amount for their son's admission, which was later rejected, leading to a refund. Subsequently, a deposit for a new university also attracted TCS. The core issue is how to correctly claim this TCS refund in the Income Tax Return (ITR), especially when the refund was directly transferred by the university and not initially linked to the PAN.

File your ITR after the end of the year to claim the refund

Thanks Doshiji for Prompt response.

Yes I know I can claim, But how it will be shown refund in ITR2

It will be reflected in your form 26AS and the same will be autopopulated in your online return filing.

But in my case UK university is directly transferred the money in my account which is not linked with my PAN. I am worried about the same.
