Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) implications when an Indian resident purchases property from a Non-Resident Indian (NRI). TDS is applicable under Section 195 on the sale value of the property. It also addresses joint purchases, confirming that both joint owners are required to deduct and pay TDS, rather than one person paying the entire amount.

TDS will be deducted u/s 195 on sale value
Okay. if purchase made jointly by 2 persons , can 1 person can pay entire TDS? or both are compulsorily required to deduct and pay TDS?
Both have to deduct TDS
Okay
thank you
