Hi,

Today i observed there is outstanding tax demand on my PAN online form incometaxefiling.com for previous AY- 2009-2010 under section 1431a of Rs 2830/- Rs.

Can someone please suggest what has to done for this?

How tax i should pay now from online? What all calculations should be done and how much penalty, cess, surcharge should be paid in total ?

Also can i ask for rectification for this if tax calculation is not correct from IT dept.

Quick response will be much appreciable.

Dear basavaraj I suggest you to put request for intimation under 143(1) on your e-mail id through that you can check your area of deficiency. After that if it is correct and wrongly claimed by dept you can for rectification online. If want to pay you tax online you can do it by you internet banking. Regards

Thanks Manoj for your reply.

One more question:

If suppose i want to pay tax online for AY - 2009-10 then in total how much i have to pay.

In website its showing Rs 2830 for 4 years old tax demand.

Just paying 2830 Rs is fine ? or interest/penalty etc has to be paid for 4 years old tax demand?

Please reply.

Sir if you have got this as a demand from department then pay it the same within the time specified in the demand notice. If you have not paid it by that then their might be some interest which is may be 1% per month. Also you can pay it online by following the steps available on the site. I suggest to put a google search for the same. Easily available on site. regards

Dear Manoj,

Thanks for info.

One more query, I have already requested for intimation under 143(1) through email id from IT website last week but still not recieved any mail from them.

Any idea how long it takes to send the intimation for same?

Dear sir it usually take one day time only. Please recheck your email id in contact details. Also you can call on cpc Bangalore helpline. Regards
