Hi,
I would like to know how is marking of ISCA in CA final done ??
Is it only that only module answers are marked correct or answers which are otherwise correct are also considered?
ICAI is very strict in this subject.Marks are given only for module answers.Answer should contain atleast same technical points, terms what module answers has.
Its variable and subjective in nature.
It shoud match Suggestes Answers as much as possible..Proper explanation should accompany the main points and should be brief and point to point.
Last attempt I got 36, in which I got 50% mark for each nicely written answer and 10% mark when explanation was not accurate.

Many other things matter :
> Handwriting
> Presentation of answer (most imp)
> underlining the technical points (most imp)
> writing defination at start of every answer
Paper presentation is an Art.we rigoursly study for 1 year but ultimately depends on 5 minutes of time in which examiner checks your paper.if you fail to communicate your answer to examiner, you will suffer EVEN if you write excellent.PRESENTAION IS ALL MATTERS
Marking is depend on your writting skills and concepts.
Examiner match points and concept abt topic.
I have many friends who get exemption due to their concepts and writting skills.
I asked a GMCS faculty ( in an ongoing GMCS batch) who checks ISCA papers.
I asked that why is it that the suggested answers of the institute does not even mention the name of the company given in the case study. Let alone a suitable answer given to a situation. I also said that this means no concept is tested.. to which he said with a besharam smile that .... ISCA IS A KILLER IN SECOND GRP.. SO AS AUDIT IN THE GRP 1..
I further argued - "Is this the way institute controls "quality"???
to which he said
YOU CAME TO INSTITUTE TO BECOME A CA.... AND NOT THE INSTI WHO CAME TO YOUR DOOR TO OFFER YOU A COURSE.... SO BEAR IT JUST LIKE OTHERS....

I think that the GMCS faculty is being diplomatic, while bluntly stating that ISCA is a killer i.e. no one can predict when/who be killed cuz of ISCA.
I happen to know more than 30 guys who appeared in group 2, some of them passed in 6th and 7th attempt! Not that they failed in ISCA particularly, they were not serious towards studies. Anyways, I also analysed their marks and realized that ISCA IS A CONTROL SUBJECT. ICAI WILL GRANT MARKS ONLY IF THEY WISH TO, you don't just earn marks in this subject.
I am pretty sure that ICAI uses some SHAITANI statistics (like UPSC uses linear regression to scale down students) to decide who will pass and who won't!
ISCA IS NO MORE FROM NEXT ATTEMPT![]()
