Being trader or investor is merely assessees' decision and income tax does not decide the same.

If volume and transaction count is more assessee becomes trader otherwise merely long term investment then investor.

Trader do same day buy or sale or buy today and sell tomorrow, whereas investor invest for capital appreciation for and for a period of say one moth to 5 to ten years.
