How ICAI controls result at par with previous examination result percentages ...inspite of obligation to give certified answer sheets to students?

Friends,

Iam very much disappointed with the result. I gave both groups of Final but I could clear only Group-I. In group-II, I got very less marks around 30 in DT & IDT though I have expected minimum 50+...

I thought due to ICAI obligation to give certified copies, it can not manage the result & it will increase overall pass percentage & I thought students will  get benefitted. Inspite of this fact, pass percentage seems to be at par with previous results..Iam wondering how it is possible...Can any one share if they have any idea about the process of evaluation followed by ICAI.....

Check suggested answers issued by ICAI and compare ur performance..

Thanks for your suggestion. I have already done the same. After comparing only  iam of the view that I should get min 50+..Any how Iam applying for certified copies ..let me see

ICAI will now set lengthy and complicated,difficult question to control result. ICAI will now provide certified copy of answer sheet to candidates.

I understand your agony and frustration.But one needs to understand that there is no such thing like controlled result.The expectations of examinees and their self-evaluation of the marks may not be consistent with the actual key.After all,the key itself is not disclosed out.I too heard many such comments from people after getting a disappointing result.The only way through which ICAI controls result is by the paper setting.The level of difficulty of the papers determine the pass %.The may 2010(new syllabus) papers were so tough that the pass % was below 5%.However,the papers of may 2011 were so easy that the pass% was above 20% which means the no. of passouts is 4 times.Stop blaming ICAI and perform a self-evaluation as to where u did the mistakes,you will certainly perform better for the next exam.

Thanks Mr.Narayana Murthy..I partly agree with you..in most cases, most students have passed with exact 200 marks.even i also....is it a coincidence or ICAI has given any grace marks those who have failed with little gap..?iam thinking to apply for certified copies..let me get the same so that i can get some idea..any way thanks for your valuable reply & advice.

Ha! Even I got 30 in DT. I passed first group but 183 in second one. Only and Only coz of DT I am not cleared, I got good marks in all three subjects, just 30 in DT and I am FAIL. :(  I have nothing to say, I don't wanna blame any damn person. I am just too angry to say anything. My anger is not allowing me to even say something! I am just very angry. :(
