House loan claiming issue

asseessee's mother is the owner of house and he is paying the loan installment from his salary account.

he is the joint owner in his housing loan,but not owner of house property.

asseessee wants to claim deduction of loan amount in income from house property.

can we do so????

Hello,

A co-owner, who is not a co-borrower, is not entitled to tax benefits.

Similarly, a co-borrower, who is not a co-owner, cannot claim benefits.

So Asseessee can't claim deduction for loan repayment.
