Professional Tax Can pay through Cheque also, Professional Tax is State Income and the Concerned Person to deal woth this is Deputy CTO of Sales Tax Department.

@ srinivas : I could not find the periodicity of service tax returns and due dates of professional tax payments and return filing

It is Not find means it is not Changed. Service Tax is still Half Year Return and Professional Tax is Monthly.

PT is actually so many organisations not paying still even it is nominal amount. So even the department person also infavour to payee.

PT can be directly pay with Cross cheque to the Deputy CTO Sales Tax of the Concerned Area as per my opinion.
