Help Needed Abt TAX AMENDMENTS

You can refer to the same amendments that were applicable for May, 2010 exam. The Institute asks questions on amendments made before 6 months prior to the 1st day of the month in which examinations are held. So for November 2010 exams the amendments made on or before 30th April shall be applicable. The amendments made by Finance (No. 2) Act, 2009 which were applicable for May, 2010 exams remain continue to applicable for Nov 2010 exams.

You only need to see the notifications & circulars which have been issued during the intervening period i.e. notifications issued between 1st Nov 2009 to 30th April 2010. And according to me these notifications are given in the RTP. But the questions relating to a particular notification or circular are never asked at PCE level. They are not very relevant as far as the exams are concerned.

So read the amendments which were applicable for May 10 exams. That will suffice.
