Answer 3120 is it correct just check out

Total Sale 70000/-

Comm @ 2% = 1400

Cost Price = 60000

Excess Amt = 10000

Less Comm 1400/- from 10000/- = 8600/-

20% on 8600/- = 1720/-

Total Comm. = 1400/-+1720/- = 3120/-

Amount 3120/-  is correct, but wait for more replys

3120 correct

Total Sale 70000/- Comm @ 2% = 1400 Cost Price = 60000 Excess Amt = 10000 Less Comm 1400/- from 10000/- = 8600/- 20% on (8600-x) = x x=1433.33 Total Comm. = 1400+1433.33 = 2833.33 I think it shud be the ryt ans.

Yogesh, it seems ur answer is correct........i didn't solve d Q so can't tell d ryt answer..............as per language used in d Q Yegesh answer my b correct.

agree with Yogesh Bro.....

15400 Rs

2% of 70000 = 1400

+ 20% (Gross sales - all commissions exceeds cost price)

i.e. 20% (70000-0) (Because no commission exceeds cost price)

1400+14000=15400

kashif boss,, if he pays 15400/- as commission and 60000/- worth of goods,, and sell it of Rs. 70000/- then u think CA institute teach thru this quiz that how to calculate commission... which result in loss.

commision wuld b Rs. 2,888.33.  So, Yogesh is correct..................... dis Q needs just to understand d language....not cramming
