Help in CPT, How to calculate remittance?

CPT 4185 views 12 replies

I am really confused about calculating remittance, also, i wanted to know if the model papers given by the icai are the likely questions to come in the actual exams! (similar difficulty?)

My question is:

Ref Page 7.27 Problem number 26.

C of bangalore consigned goods costing Rs. 3000 to his agent at delhi. Freight and insurance paid by consignor Rs 100. C'nee's expenses 200. 4/5th of the goods were sold for Rs 3000. Commission 2% on sales. C'nee wants to settle the balance with the help of a bank draft. calculate the draft amount!

Thank you :)

The Remitance Would be 3000 (Sales Amount) - 200 (Cnsee Exp) - 60 (Sale Commission) = 2940. Reply Whether it was Correct or not

The Remitance Rs. 2740

ans is 2740 i.e 3000(sale made by consignee on behalf of consignor)-200(consgee exp)-60(comm of comsignee)

Hai,

The amount to be remittance Rs.2740/-.

i.e. Total Sales Rs.3000

Less: Consignee Expenses Rs.200

2%Commission on Rs.3000=Rs.60

So, Draft willbe Rs.2740

Thank you so much guys, the answer is Rs. 2740. Any idea how the papers are actually, compared to the model papers?

Maheswaran, you wrote the total wrong!

the answer is 2740....

the above explanations are right...!!!

peace...

the ans is Rs.2740 and i m agree with the explainations given by other member's of CCI Family.

Can anyone Tell me how the papers are compared to the model papers in the CPT exams please?

diificulty of questions are felt on the basis of ur preparations...

Hi Tarun,

If you do all questions of 30 model papers, nothing can stop you from passing CPT. So, no doubt about difficulty level. Please don't take it otherwise, but asking such simple questions shows that you need to do a lot of hard work. So start now and before jumping to model papers, dutyfully solve module questions ( atleast single questions in it ).

remittance will be....

sale made by consinee - Rs.3000

Less : Expenses by

           Consinee              - Rs 200

Less : Commision         - Rs 60

Remittance                      - Rs 2740...
