what to do if refund not received by client due to insufficient address as person lives in a village, and their are no exact addresses at that place, itr was filed on form 4 for a/y 2010-11. can we apply for rectification for issue of refund by ecs mode??
visit the post office of the village and they will provide the address of the resident. they will also help to handover the refund if they are intimated in advance.

First you visit the IT website and login with the client id and go to refund failure case. Take print out and fill the relevant details and send to the CPC, if it was filed by e filing. If not file a letter with the ITO mentioning the correct address of the client and asked your ITO to issue afresh RO.
