HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY

Thank you for your good wishes.

On this day in 2012 while being proud tobe an Indian I find myself a little confused on what we are celebrating. A little of introspection bought a few thoughts to mind:

Have we acheived, are we acheiveing the social objective embedded in the first few words of ourConstitution? Are all citiznes having an equal opportunity? Is the divide between the haves and have nots being reduced?

While we have liberty of thought which may not be available in our more powerful neighbour, can one man/ woman challenge the establishment?

Today undoubtably we have more money , but do we have moregenuine happiness?

Maybe on this day we the professionals who form the cream of intelligentia ask and aswer these questions ourselves. More importantly what is that I can do to make this happen.
