Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the mandatory filing requirements for GSTR 9 and GSTR 9C based on turnover. If your total turnover across firms registered under a single PAN exceeds ₹2 crore, GSTR 9 is mandatory. GSTR 9C is required if turnover exceeds ₹5 crore. If firms have separate PANs, GSTR 9 filing depends on individual firm turnovers.
1)if you have both firm registration on single PAN Based then your total turnover is 2crore 84 lacs and GSTR9 limit more then 2crore and Gstr-9C limit is more than 5 crore and your case is less than 5crore sale but exceed 2 crore then you have file Gstr-9 not Gstr-9c. 2) your both firm registration is different PAN then Firm A not required to file Gstr-9 and 9C and Firm B mandatory to file Gstr-9 but you have not filed Gstr-9c
