It is compulsory you have to file
what are the consequences for not file?
Officer may Create a problem.. they may DEBIT your bank account to the extent of Liability suo moto
is there any interest on late fees??
No
that means amount is fixed 10000 what ever be the time...
100rs per day maximum of 10000
so we can wait upto the notice comes from department..i think no need to make payment immediately.
Department can also levy penalty...
Hello sir i have same issue gst no. Canceled in dec 2017 But notice came today for gst r10 to file, when i chked it show 10000 late fee.... What i do.
Hello Sir My clients GSTIN cancled in Nov 2018 and now i check the GSTR10 shows 10000/- late fee... now what to do...

The GSTR-10 is a Form which is completely useless. Most people forget to file the same and there is no awareness of any sort to most of the peoples and organisations or any form of communication from the department to file the same. Why it needs to be filed within three months from the date of cancellation ? Why they did not incorporated the same with the cancellation request itself ?

Surprisingly it is even applicable for NIL Return fillers to pay Rs. 10,000/- It seems to be trap of revenue source for the Govt as most of the people forget this GST Return after getting the GST Registration cancelled.

NEED AN AMENDMENT ON THIS BY GST COUNCIL

Did you get any relief on it?
