Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to file GSTR-1 when selling used mobile phones to unregistered dealers. The key point is that GST should be applied only to the profit margin, not the full sale value. For a sale of a used mobile, you report the profit under taxable value and the total sale amount under invoice value in your GSTR-1, typically under the B2C Others category. Input Tax Credit (ITC) on the purchase of used goods is generally not claimable in this scenario.
@ sandeep. if u sale old mob to some one of Rs 10000/- so, for that u need to file GSTR1 in b2c u enter value- 8200, cgst- 900 sgst-900. @ 18% columns. and file
Dear Sandeep If you are dealing in 2Nd hand Goods , then as per Rule 32 , the GST need to be deposited on Profit Margin. (12% of 1000/-) , hence in GSTR 1 you need to report 1000/- under taxable value & 9000/- under Invoice Value .
