i registered in gst in december 2017
My GST Registration is cancelled by GST Dept in Nov 2018 for non filing of gst return.
I want to know that.... whether i am liable to pay penalty to GST Department for non filing...
Is there any way.... so that my penalty can be waived as i am not using gst and i do not require gst in any manner.
I want to surrender my gst registration and dont want to pay penalty as penalty is in lacs....
please help

Ple to communicate ur assessing officer to avail amnesty scheme under gst for this purpose.
You can avail the amnesty Scheme in which you have to pay nominal late for late filling of return that scheme is vaild till 31st August 2021
You can avail the amnesty Scheme, file return pay tax as payable and than go for surrender
