NOTIFICATION No. 37/2019 - CT, dated 21.08.2019, has been issued regarding extension of DUE DATE of filing FORM GSTR-3B for the month of July 2019.

Annual Return Due Date extended for FY 2018-19 ???
Yes Ma'am it has been extended. The Due Date to file FORM GSTR-9 for FY 2018-19 has been extended to 30th September 2020.

Is it Compulsory to file or Optional ???
As per Notification No. 47/2019 - Central Tax, dated 09th October 2019 read with Circular No. 124/43/2019 - GST, dated 18th November 2019, Annual Return ( GSTR-9 ) for FY 2017-18 and FY 2018-19 has been made "OPTIONAL" for the Taxpayers having Aggregate Turnover upto Rs. 2 crores.
What about FY 2019-20 FORM 9 ??? Is it also optional ???
As of now No Such relaxation have been provided with regard to Annual Return for FY 2019-20.

Limit has been increased to Rs. 5 crores
