GST RETURNS FOR AGENT

Return 416 views 13 replies
An agent who works on commission basis doesn't purchase goods from the principal company but only sends the commission working for invoices which comes under his commission.

The agent doesn't purchase nor does he makes any sales. Only works on commission basis.
The principal company sends the goods to the concerned party.

How to and where can i file the details of the same?

Can someone clarify the same?
Would help me a lot!

Thanks!

if commission does not exceed 20 lac no need to register in gst
The agent is already registered due to pressure from corporate clients...
Now how do i go about filing the GSTR1 return and 3B?
in outward supply coloum put commission and pay tax
As per my view.,
The commission business registration is mandatory under GST irrespective of Turn Over...

He ll issue Invoices to Where ll get the Commission and File the GSTR 1 itself...
In which column under GSTR1?
Also will i make a bill for the principal party for commission? If so how do I show it?
The receiver is registered then show it in B2B section. If unregistered then show it B2C column...
I heard from some persons that it is mandatory for agent to register under GST if principal is registered under gst
Mr Raja, he provides commission service but the principal directly sells the goods to the concerned parties.
So the agent doesn't have any sales or purchase per se, but only commission.

It's confusing me😐

What confusion... Bro?
If I am supposed to raise invoice for the principal party or not.
And if there's an option specifically mentioned in GSTR1 for commission.

Commision is one of the service. Also you show the details as per service...

It's very simply the Agent ll give Commission related Invoice....

So CGST and SGST will be levied @ 18% respectively, correct?
