Gst registration services

My client is in service industry and his turnover is 24 lacs. He is stop doing this business. Do he still need to register in gst as turnover crosses 20 lacs limit. Or is there any option through which he can directly pay gst without registration.

Quick Summary
If your business turnover has exceeded the 20 lakh threshold for GST registration, even if you plan to cease operations, you generally cannot cancel the registration. You will likely need to continue paying tax. However, there might be specific circumstances or options available to address this situation without a full registration, so it's worth exploring further.

If Turnover is more than threshold limit than u can't cancel registration.
You need to continue to pay tax and get yourself registered
Not necessarily.
