I am filing ITR4 under 44ADA section. I don't have any salary income.
For 2025-2026 FY my gross income is 36Lakhs and the presumptive income is 18Lakhs. I calculated my tax using the IT website and it shows the tax is Rs. 166400.
I have closed my home loan in Oct 2025.
On the clear tax portal under this page, https://cleartax.in/s/section-44ada it shows the following:
Yes — you can claim Chapter VI-A deductions even if you opt for Section 44ADA. The key point is understanding what is allowed and what is not under presumptive taxation.
Presumptive income does not restrict Chapter VI-A deductions.
Deductions like 80C, 80D, etc., can be claimed from GTI.
Availability depends on the tax regime selected.
