I am living in a rented flat & want to enroll for GSTP exam but my rent agreement has already expired.
What would be any alternate document for professional address proof ?
Thanks

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the requirement for professional address proof when enrolling as a GST Practitioner. The original poster, living in a rented flat with an expired rent agreement, sought alternative documents. Suggestions included using an Aadhar card with the professional address updated, or providing property tax slips, electricity bills, or municipal khata copies. If none of these are available, renewing the rent agreement was also advised.
At first, you must refer Rule 83 &84 of CGST Rules 2017 in which stated the Provisions relating to a Goods and Service Tax Practitioner. If you are qualified as per the provisions you must apply for enrolment in form GST PCT-01 through comon portal of GST directly.
Yes. In the PCT-01, there is a column to fill the Professional address. You can fill your address in Aadhar Card as Professional Address and produce the Aadhar card as evidence.
You need to provide either legal ownership of property, property tax slip, electricity bill or municipal khata copy, if you do not have any of it then you must renew your rent agreement. I hope this helps. Thank you.
