Gst on sale of free samples

Is there any need to charge Gst on sale of free samples. Please clear me along with the sec

You can supply free samples , but ITC has to be reverse on its purchase As per section 17(5) CGST Act

No need to collect GST if free samples...

If you didn't take ITC, no need to collect GST on samples
