I am told that GST rate for hiring of items is the same as the rate for selling it. For example Crockery will be rented out on daily rent basis at the same rate at which it can be sold or purchased

We are leading Tent services providers around the country and to the best of my knowledge and as per discussion held with servral ca and lawyer we have concluded that GST rate for providing pandal and shamiyana, furniture etc is 18% and it has no connection with rate of tax at point of sale, we provide pure services and the SAC code for deposit of GST can be same as that of Events . It's because no specific SAC has been issued up till now . And the code mentioned by my learned friend Raja PM is an old code which was used for pandal and shamiyana when service tax was existing. Now those code I mean 00440054 is invalid for GST.
