Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether Goods and Services Tax (GST) should be applied to nominal amounts deducted from employee salaries for food. While some believe it's a taxable supply, the consensus leans towards it not being subject to GST, especially if it's considered part of the salary agreement or a recovery for services provided. The key is to determine if it constitutes a 'supply' under the GST Act.
