GST on freight

is GST is required to be paid on Reverse charge basis on freight paid by a retailer on procurement of goods ?

Yes if he is GTA (Goods Transport Agency) who issue Bilty (GR) , RCM is mandatory
Yes, in case of GTA the same needs to be paid under reverse charge, the transporters who also issue the consignment note.

Is the service from GTA...?
If Yes... Then RCM applicable...
If No... Then RCM not applicable...

RCM is suspended till June . so we have to take transportation RCM or botbot

If GTA then it's under section 9(3) of CGST act...
The act related RCM tax is Still applicable from 1st July...
If other GTA as Road Transport then it's fully exempted under GST...
we have paid 50000 as transport so what's the tax rate for reverse charge.. for purchase of goods & have to deduct TDs at what % ... in which column we have to take RCM..

If You are received service from GTA then RCM applicable and it's rate @ 5%...

You show the RCM related entries in GSTR 3B
3.1 (d)

and
4(A)(3)....
for sales its 3.1 (d)
for purchase 4 (a) (3)
RCM GST @ 5℅ ,

& Tds U/s 194(c) 1% if individual, & 2℅ if company or partnership firm

In 3b show it in
For Payable :table 3.1 , row (a)(d)
For Input : table 4 ,row A(3)

Then You ll be enter the details as per my reply...


If You want enter Your Sales and Purchase details in GSTR 3B then You ll be enter in

Sales / Outward :

and

our practitioner told transport RCM is not applicable for igst .. it applicable only for sgst & cgst I'm confused
