GST on Damage Matirial

we have send matirial to party unfortunately all matirial was dameged and we claim this amount in insurance company
now we have issue credit note to party so we have reduce liability in GSTR 1 against damaged invoice
this is right or wrong ?

By issuing credit Note you have reduced your Output liability not ITC.

Hence Reverse the ITC attributed to Damaged goods.
