GST INVOICE QUERY.........

Gst tax invoice in the legal or trade name? we can choose both?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a GST invoice should be issued under a trade name or a legal name. While the CGST Act doesn't explicitly mandate one over the other, it's generally advisable to use the trade name if it was used during registration. Using both names on the invoice is also acceptable and poses no issue with the GST department.

To be on the safer side use both.
That means invoice can be issued for trade name or legal name, no problem from the GST Department, am i right?
Yes , if you are giving trade name or legal name both on in a invoice bill than no problem from gst department ...
If trade name is given while obtaining registration then use trade name
Trade name should be used
In term of Rule 46 of CGST Act , which prescribed Name of Recepient need to be mentioned, it's not given that Trade Name or Legal Name.
So in my view you can mention either trade name or legal name both are correct.

Note : It is Advisable if you know the Trade Name then mention Trade Name only.
