Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a query about reclaiming old Input Tax Credit (ITC) for the financial year 21-22. Although the ITC was claimed and then reversed in the October 2022 GST return, the user wants to know if it can be claimed again in the January 2023 return. The consensus is that the ITC has lapsed as per Section 16(4) of the CGST Act, which stipulates that ITC related to a financial year must be claimed by the earlier of September of the next financial year or the annual return filing date.

Time period is lapsed
No, you can't take the ITC now.
No u can't take as any itc related to a FY can be taken latest by earlier of September month of next FY or date on which annual return is filed.

Thanks ,but we had taken the same in oct month return and reverse the the same itc in same return.then whether this itc become valid again or not.Since we make it,   valid by taking the same in oct month 3b.

As per Section 16(4) of CGST Act, it's lapse .
