GST Function as Trademark
If I have registered under GST as sole proprietor.Does it exclude others in using my tradename for their businesses or do i have to separately registered for Trademark as well, if yes then why so ?

You have to opt for Trademark for this. GST registration is not any protection against your Trademark infringement or it's misuse.
GST registration is done on the basis of PAN number, it has no relevance with your trade name. For obtaining exclusive benefits in terms of trade name, you have to get exclusive registration for it under trademark act.
