GST Filing Software

There is no option of manual filing. The GST returns are to be filed through the government GST portal. Although, there is no mandatory need to have a 3rd party/private party additional software for the same. 

All required details are available in the downloads bar of the portal and user manuals, FAQ and videos are available to understand the process of how this is done.

No there is no such mandatory requirement to get GST Software for GST Filing.
But still many taxpayers prefer to purchase the same because it reduces some procedural time lags. Manual Filing is much slower than GST Software filing as it increases the duplicacy of work. Moreover it also increases the chances of Clerical Mistakes.
Some softwares like CompuTax, ClearTax etc. are beneficial for the same.
