GST filing requirement for more than 1 company with different turnovers?

If an individual has two sole proprietorship businesses . One with a sales of more than 40 lakh and the other with sales under 10 lakhs. Then is GST filing required for both businesses or only the one with sales over 40 lakhs?

Quick Summary
If you operate multiple sole proprietorship businesses under the same PAN, you need to consider GST filing for all of them. Even if one business has sales below the threshold (e.g., under 10 lakhs), it still needs to be declared in your GST returns alongside a business exceeding the threshold (e.g., over 40 lakhs). This is because GST registration is PAN-based, meaning all businesses linked to that PAN are consolidated for filing purposes.

GST registration is PAN based. SO both the proprietorship business will be under the same PAN. Therefore details of both businesses will have to be given in GST returns
