Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the impact of recent GST rate changes for pan masala, effective from 1st April 2023. The new rates are applicable even on old stock held by businesses. Importantly, the notification introduces an MRP-based GST calculation, meaning only manufacturers are liable for GST, relieving distributors, wholesalers, and retailers of this burden.

As per the new effective law.
There is no new or old gst regime.
There was Notification issued 01/2023 Compensation Cess dtd.31/3/23 which notified new rates for PAN Masala .
So the query is what rate will applicable on his stock after this change in rate.
Dear experts,
kindly confirm
as per this notification the GST rate will be MRP based so this means only manufacturer need to pay GST.
and there is no liability on further supply chain like distributors, wholesalers and retailers.

New rate will be applicable even either if you have old stocks .
