An importer imported goods by paying IGST. What he will charge to his INTRASTATE customers & what he will charge to his INTERSTATE customers & In which gst catogery (i.e. Igst/sgst/cgst) he will get his input tax credit if he supplied all goods to intrastate customers ?

IGST & BCD ispayable on import of goods.

On intsrastate sales: CGST & SGST is payable

on Interestate sales : IGST is payable

You can use IGST ( paid on import) credit agaist IGST  payable on interstate sales

or

CGST & SGST payable on intra state sales.

Thank you Mr. mayur

Dear Mr Mayur, We are importer at Bangalore and registered under GST at Karnataka and we import at Chennai port. any thing we have to do in GST? should we give our GSTIN to customs?
sir if I import goods worth 100/- & paid custom duty of 30%
now my cost is 130 Rs now how much I have to collect GST from my clients.
previously I was collecting only 14.5% of vat
but now should I collect 28%?
if it is so then the cost will be increasing by 13.5% for end users.
will you explain it how it works

Previously credit of import duty was not available to you and the same has been added to your cost now in GST you can take credit of IGST paid on imports ..So no cost increase its overall cost reduction.
