hello,

I took GST Registration as i was about to start a business. But due to some circumstances i could not start the business and i have filed nil return in last quarter(OCT-DEC). Now, I want to cancel my gst registration. I know that for it I have to file nil return again for Jan-March quarter. In my GST Registration login account i have not updated my bank account details. So whenever i login it say's "Please enter your Bank Account details by filing Application for Amendment (non-core) ". Currently i do not have bank passbook nor statement nor cheque book due to lockdown as i will have to approach to bank. So can I Cancel my GST Registration without updating these details?

First after login it goes to amendment application for bank details, click on the dash board you will take you to normal display page after login.

As per Rule 10A of CGST Act , after Obtaining Registration certificate in form REG-06, the taxpayer is required to upload the bank details within 45 days from date of grant Registration or date on which return is due to be furnished whichever is earlier.

So as the due date to furnish the same as per law is over . so can ignore as suggested by Mr. Jashwanth ,can proceed for cancellation.

You can ignore the message and proceed for cancellations of GST Registration. Make sure you file GSTR-10 within 3 months from the date of cancellation.
