Quick Summary
If you're a trader in Indore selling goods to a customer located in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Mumbai, you need to charge IGST. While supplies to SEZ units are zero-rated, you must still account for IGST. You can either pay the IGST and claim a refund, or if conditions are met, submit a Letter of Undertaking (LUT) to supply without paying tax upfront.
However even if Zero rated supply you have to pay IGST and claim refund or submit LUT without payment of Tax subject to conditions for supply made to SEZ .
