A pvt company with turnover around 20L has filled GSTR 3B and GSTR 1 regularly for FY 17-18. The department has recently made GST annual return optional for small companies. I just want to know if there are any benefits of filling GST annual return despite being optional. Thank you.

I don't see any benefit except another bunch of compliance and added cost to the assesee.
It is option, not for compulsory.
