Gift by Company

yes, it is a part of IR dept. The company can make with good intent and it should be reasonable.

However if the intention is bed or intention is to defraud to creditors in that case section 540(b) restrict to offer gift.

What is IR department?

But how can there be a gift without love and affection? Company is a legal entity not a natural one.

The IR dept. means Industrial Relation department.

Lets I giving you one example: the Coldrinks Co's are gifting fridge etc. to its customers. It is a part of business strategy.
