We have a factory. And we need a auto/pick up for transporting goods from factory to godown. If we purchase the same can we take ITC on the said auto/pickup...pls explain

If you use the vehicle for transportatation of goods for your business you can take ITC of the same.

You are not eligible to take the ITC. As per Section 17(5), it will be available to the person's who are in the same lines of business.

(2) TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS
HENCE VEHICLE BEING USED IN TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS , ITC CAN BE CLAIM
