General meeting

in case of a special resolution....votes cast in favour of the resolution must not be less than 3times the votes cast against the resolution, if any invalid votes, neutral votes and absentees are not to be counted

so, out of 100 20 are absent, 20 are abstained...there are only 60 members whose votes are valid.....45 members should vote in favour of the resolution to pass the resolution
(votes cast in favour= 3 times votes cast against)=>(45= 3(15))

the vote in favour should be in three times more of vote in agnst

How to find 45 members s fav??? Out f 60

votes cast in favour = 3times votes cast against
for example,
votes cast against be 'x'
therefore votes cast in favour will be 3x
x+3x=60
4x=60
x=15

that is votes cast against is 15 n votes cast in favour is 15*3=45
