Hello Guys, I've received general physical letter on 8th Jan'16 stating non filing of income tax return for the A/Y 2013-14 and asking me to furnish my response using "Compliance" link in the e-filing portal.
However I have already submitted the return and successfully got the acknowledgement as well that it was processed by CPC Banglore. Now, the challenge is when I login to e-filing portal, I do not see any question in the 'Compliance' module as a part of for my pending action so how do I furnish my response using the e-filing portal when I cannot see anything as such as the physical letter also suggests me to to do so and send them the print of the response from the e-filing portal. please let me know ASAP.
Couple of points to make the note of:-
1. I was under the impression that income tax offices will not be sending physical letters any more for any of the queries but instead will be following the e-governance using e-mails so why in this case it was a physical letter, please let me know your thoughts in this as well.
2. This letter is a general one and doesn't state any section like 142(1) or anything as such so is it fine to ignore this completely since the return is already been furnished and successfully processed as well.
