Similarly for shares.

Do I need to show Long Term Capital Gains in ITR?

If I buy & sell shares within 12 months then I need to pay Short Term Capital Gains Tax or the profit is calulcated as my Individual Income?

long term capital gain from shares is exempt only in case of listed shares (stt paid). You have to disclose in the itr.

secondly, buy/sell within 12 months are taxable (listed or unlisted both). short term capital gain

Suppose I purchased shares worth INR 10000 in Dec 2015 and sold them for INR 15000 in May 2016. Then this will be Short Term Gains? How much tax I will have to pay in this regard?

What is unindexed and indexed Long Term Capital Gains?
