Suppose Ram was a proprietor of ABCD Firm and his FSSAI licence was valid till Sept'20. Ram died on April'20 and his business was transferred to Ravi Ram's son. Ravi didn't renew the licence till Jan'21.
Now whether Ravi can apply for new licence in his own name.
Please suggest me the legal procedure

Yes, in the event of the applicant's death, one can transfer the FSSAI food license to a legal heir or a family member of the deceased license holder. The recipient must apply to the concerned authority for transfer of the license in his or her favor. You can apply for new licence on FSSAI portal by giving details
