Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to fill out Form 26QB when a homemaker is listed as a joint owner on a property purchase, even if they are not financially contributing. It clarifies the TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) implications, specifically whether a homemaker co-owner is liable for TDS, and touches upon the process when multiple buyers and sellers are involved.

Though my wife is housewife, and not contributing in property purchase, since I have mentioned her as co-owner, she has to pay 0.5% tds. Is it? Thanks Prasad 9008402160
In case there are multiple buyers and sellers involved in the transaction, the deductor will be required to submit multiple Form 26QB.
